what people are saying about the Savoy B&B!

| "Merci pour votre accueil si chaleureux.
Je n'ai qu'un regret: ne pas avoir eu assez de temps libre you faire
plus ample connaissance. Il me faudra revenir...pour des vacances cette
fois! Bonne continuation, take care of yourself. Merci pour tout." |

| "Thank you for a memorable stay in your
wonderful cabin. Your hospitality and friendship has been truly appreciated.
We really enjoyed our evening with you both, listening to Cajun music and
eating great food. It is really interesting exchanging cultural experiences.
We learned about the "Acadian" history, something of which we knew very little.
If you ever decide to travel to Australia we would love to have you stay
with us and enjoy our hospitality." |
| "After a long, hard day of consuming as much boudin as is humanly possible, we found The Savoy to be the perfect place to rest. Rodney & Darlene are lovely hosts and we enjoyed their fabulous breakfast and gracious company made us feel right at home. We had fun hanging out with them yet they were kind enough to not make us feel smothered. It was like owning our own place here in Scott-with great neighbors that cooked and took care of us. We will definitely stay again" |
| "The Savoy B & B has been the very best B & B experience - and it was just outstanding! Your over welcoming, warm hospitality, the quality of the accommodations, and the ideal location is just great." |
| "A new year - a third visit to Lafayette with a stay in your lovely cottage. Each time I appreciate you and your hospitality more and more. This time, in particular, I needed a respite from the cold north - from stressful times. Once again, I have experienced a ?home away from home?. Thank you, Rodney, for all of your special introductions. I will never forget the afternoon and evening with Mr Begnaud, the mustang, and so much more. I love you both. God bless you now and always." |
| "As newlyweds today, we enjoyed our stay here greatly. So peaceful-exactly what we needed to complete the happiest day of our lives! The Cajun culture and antiques were great to experience once again, as these things are often taken for granted. We look forward to visiting ?our special cottage? through many years to come in our marriage. Thanks for your hospitality. The jukebox is one of our all time favorites!!" |

Simone, the cat with Siamese markings and alluring blue eyes
Hunts for an elusive lizard seeking sanctuary
In the shadows of my low chair
Much the way I find refuge from the afternoon sun
In the cooling shade beneath a hand made trellis
Heavy with tangled thorn rose and passion Christ.
The aromas of fresh cut hay mix with confederate jasmine
a blue jay, full of himself, takes his bath
in the courtyard cistern with the carpet of lily pads.
Tonight as the sun scorches the Louisiana horizon
I will boil like an ornery crawfish in the Jacuzzi.
I will sip beer and shoot pool in cowboy boots
To the throbbing beats of the Wurlitzer juke box
As my father once did in the Honky Tonk
After a long day in the field
Who said I would never find happiness traveling around.

| What wonderful hosts! I truly enjoyed my
stay at your B & B. The accommodations were lovely and you went out
of your way to make me feel comfortable. I really enjoyed our chats and
hope to bring my family back to this wonderful area soon. We'll see you
then! |
| Meeting you was a gift for us in the
discovery of Louisiana. As you said, Quebekers are just like Cajuns! We
appreciate alot being in your home for these two days. |

rien, ce qui es et important ce sont les gens renaiss. Thank you so

| We would like to thank you very much for
opening your home for our stay in your area. When we planned this trip,
we had in mind to try to exchange with some on the local culture by
staying with individuals and at the smae time to meet some of our
distant cousins. Our experience with your family was more than we had
hoped. It was luck or faith that let our path cross. We have great
memory of our vacation in Louisiana and certainly the homely feeling
for the people that surround the Lafayette area and hope to return one
day. We really enjoyed the International Festival in Lafayette and
tasted a lot of the food on the festival ground. Thanks again and hope
to see you again |

| Comme on dit en Louisiane. Like you say in
Louisiana, "Let the good times roll!" By chance, we were able to meet a
true and nice cajun family which is what we had hoped for. Surely we
will come back to visit our cousins of the South and I hope that you
will do the same and come and visitit us. Years have separated us, but
the blood line will always remain our greatest ties. Merci Beaucoup et
a la prochaine. |

| We have really
enjoyed staying with you for the past three nights. Talking to you has
given us an excellent insight into Cajun life. We also really
appreciated your ideas on places to visit and things to do. We could
have stayed longer. |
